Residential Projects
We have designed and delivered a large number of residential projects. When we started in 2011 nearly all our work was in the private domestic market and we successfully delivered some very challenging schemes. While we rarely take on domestic projects these days, we regularly design and deliver new housing and apartment schemes for the commercial sector, including large master-planning projects.

Rooftop Extensions
We have successfully designed and delivered two rooftop extensions to dwellings in the Portman Estate Conservation Area where it is almost impossible to obtain planning permission. On both occasions we were able to demonstrate to the Council that their strict policy criteria was met in full. One of these buildings was grade-II listed and so a listed building consent was also required.
Such projects are very complicated, involving multiple party wall awards, licences to alter, and rights to light issues, not to mention restricted contractor access. They are not for the feint-hearted but the result is a beautiful penthouse with great daylight and amazing views.

Signal Townhouses
Delivery of 16 award-winning houses for U&I plc
U&I engaged us to ensure the high level of design quality was delivered in the construction of this interesting scheme in Greenwich. In a monitoring and advisory role we reviewed and commented on AHMM's construction stage drawings and visited site at regular intervals to check the project was delivered in accordance with the details. The innovative houses were designed by architects AHMM to a high level of detail with high quality materials. The houses were constructed by Weston Homes as part of a wider development comprising 272 homes. The completed scheme won a Housing Design Award in 2018 and a Regional RIBA Award in 2019.
